The time has come for us to be swept to new, distant shores by the waters of the past. Drizzt Do’Urden and his friend Bruenor set out in search of Gauntlgrym’s former dwarf kingdom, whose ruins are said to hide fabulous treasures and ancient knowledge. But before they can reach their destination, another couple finds the remains of the kingdom: Jarlaxle and Athrogate - who inadvertently unleash forces during their magic and treasure hunts that threaten all the inhabitants of the city of Neverwinter with catastrophe. The danger is so great that the dark elf mercenary is willing to risk even his own property and skin just to prevent it.

However, the deeper Jarlaxle and Athrogate dig into the secrets of the ancient dwarf kingdom, the clearer it becomes to them: they cannot stand in the way of danger on their own. And with their help, there can only be two people who would never have thought they would fight shoulder to shoulder: Drizz Do’Urden and Bruenor, the dwarf king.

Drizzt’s legend enters a new era in the world of Forgotten Realms as our hero can finally tour the haunted halls of the lost Gauntlgrym and face brand new challenges in the city of Neverwinter.
