Who will replace the dead gods? The god of strife is dead, destroyed in the attack on Tantras, and Midnight and his companions have recovered one of the Boards of Fate. These two relics can restore the gods to their former glory and save the Realms from the wrath of the fallen mighty. For the second sign, the heroes must travel to the Deep Castle and pass through the Realm of the Dead, but Cyric, the thief, and Myrkul, the god of death, want to use the Signs of Fate for their own purposes.
