Péter Gáspár - a pillar of the spheres famous as Jan van den Boom - is by far the most versatile of the authors of the first generation of M.A.G.U.S. He never limited his work to certain topics, like Renier, he never tried to organize his stories into a unified cosmogony like Chapman, yet his world-shaping influence was striking: he left his mark on Ynev's past, present, and all his high cultures.
This volume selects from the most memorable works, but does not contain all of them: the richly textured Boomen prose commands respect not only for its quality and quantity. Those who want to see up close the heroes of myths and Ynev’s everyday life in exotic shades should keep the M.A.G.U.S. with the Dutch of the planet - they can get to corners of the created world where no one has been since the departure of the Great.
